Photographs from the L.H. Jeffery Archive
  Introduction   Index of Photographs

The following pages display non-epigraphic photographs from the Anne Jeffery Archive.   Most of the images are derived from 6cm x 6cm negatives taken by LHJ with her Rolleiflex camera between 1949 and the early 1960s in the course of her travels through Greece and Asia Minor.   However, there is a group of more than eighty 3.25 x 4.25 inch negatives which, from the style of dress worn and the condition of the places visited, appear to date to the early 20th century.   Images from this latter group are identified by the prefix "J.OLN" in the image reference names given below each caption.

All images are copyright of the L.H. Jeffery Archive, Centre for the Study of Ancient Documents, University of Oxford.
